Notifications
Receive session and purchase alerts through Discord, Telegram, or a webhook you control.
Enable alerts
In Config Editor → Notifications:
- Turn Enable notifications on.
- Select the events you want.
- Fill in at least one notification channel.
- Select Save configuration and restart your session.
Channels are independent. Fill in several to receive the same selected events in several places. Leave unused channel fields empty.
Choose events
- Buy success — a completed purchase or a simulated match in Test mode.
- Buy failed — an unsuccessful purchase attempt.
- Bot start / Bot stop — session lifecycle messages.
- Target done — a target reaches its quantity limit for this run.
- License error — a license problem detected during operation.
- Rate limit — a Steam rate-limit response.
- Action required — a prompt needs your attention.
A forced stop may end the session before a final alert can be delivered.
Discord
- In a Discord server where you have permission to manage webhooks, create an incoming webhook for the channel that should receive alerts.
- Copy its webhook URL.
- Paste it into Discord webhook in Luna.
- Save and restart the session.
See Discord's webhook guide for setup in Discord.
Telegram
- Create a bot using Telegram's official @BotFather.
- Start a conversation with the bot, or add it to the intended group and give it permission to send messages.
- Obtain the destination chat's numeric ID.
- Paste the token into Telegram bot token and the ID into Telegram chat ID.
- Save and restart the session.
The bot username is not the chat ID. Follow Telegram's official bot instructions and chat ID guidance if you need help identifying the destination.
Customize message text
Select Edit message templates…. Choose an event on the left and a channel at the top:
- All channels supplies the shared message for that event.
- Discord, Telegram, and Raw webhook can override the shared text.
- An empty channel-specific template uses All channels; if that is empty too, Luna uses its default message.
Use the Wildcards buttons to insert available values, then check the Preview. The preview uses example data and does not send a notification. A value can be empty if it was not available for a particular event.
For Buy success, a useful template is:
Target: {target} · Price: {price} · Float: {float_value} · Test mode:
Including {test_mode} helps distinguish a simulated match from a purchase. Select Done, then Save configuration in the main editor. Closing the template window alone does not save the configuration to disk.
Verify delivery
Enable Bot start, save, and start a test session with purchases disabled. Check that the startup notification arrives in the chosen channel. This avoids needing a purchase to test delivery.
If nothing arrives, check the master switch, selected events, destination credentials, and recipient permissions. An in-app template preview does not verify delivery.
Raw JSON webhook
Use Raw JSON webhook if you already have a compatible notification receiver. Paste its complete HTTPS URL, select your events, and save. This is optional; leave it blank for a normal Discord or Telegram setup. The receiver must be able to accept incoming event notifications from Luna.
